About Will
Will Gonzalez is Executive Director of Ceiba and the Housing Supply Workstream Co-Lead for CONVERGENCE Philadelphia. Ceiba uses free tax preparation as a gateway to asset building — over 250 people have become homeowners through this approach. Ceiba is also the backbone of the Ceiba–Latino Equitable Development Collective, an effort that brings together the top 10 Latino organizations in Philadelphia to work collectively on housing, economic development, and community strengthening.
Value of CONVERGENCE
“CONVERGENCE is a table to talk and share with other housing advocates in the region.” Will has served as co-chair of the Philadelphia CONVERGENCE Housing Supply Work Group and has hosted NBA executives visiting Philadelphia for tours of Ceiba’s neighborhood work.
Future vision
Will would like to see CONVERGENCE delve deeper into providing low-cost patient capital for CDCs to develop and build affordable housing.
